FCC is the abbreviation of the Federal Communications Commission (Federal Communications Commission), established in 1934, it is an independent agency of the US government, directly responsible to Congress. The FCC coordinates domestic and international communications by regulating radio, television, telecommunications, satellite, and cable. Certification is mainly aimed at radio application products, communication products and digital products, including computers, fax machines, electronic devices, radio receiving and transmitting equipment, radio-controlled toys, telephones and other products that may harm personal safety.

The E220 series is a line of wireless transceiver modules developed by EBYTE. These modules are designed to provide wireless communication capabilities for various applications.

EBYTE's wireless transceiver modules typically offer features like long-range communication, low power consumption, and compatibility with different protocols such as LoRa, LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, and more. They are commonly used in applications such as IoT, smart home devices, industrial automation, and wireless sensor networks.

FCC certification type

On November 2, 2017, the Federal Communications Commission of the United States merged DoC and Verification into SDoC. SDoC certification will replace FCC Verification and DoC certification procedures. All equipment applicable to FCC Verification and DoC certification procedures can adopt SDoC certification procedures.

FCC is divided into two different certification methods for the types of electronic products, namely: FCC SDo and FCC ID (Certification):

FCC-SDoC: common product

Do electromagnetic compatibility EMC test. Such as display screens, electronic scales for lamps, humidifiers, sweepers, electric fans, etc. do not have wireless functions.


FCC-ID: Wireless Products

Do electromagnetic compatibility EMC+ radio frequency RF test. Such as mobile phones, wireless remote controls, Bluetooth speakers, tablet computers and so on.

Other wireless products

Products that can still work normally without the wireless function, or products with a USB interface and data transmission function, such products are recommended to be certified by FCC-SDoC and FCC-ID at the same time.
